Facelift Costs and Payment Options

A facelift surgical procedure can dramatically transform a person’s features, making them appear younger and more vitalized. When a prospective patient comes to Jefferson Plastic Surgery for an initial consultation about the facelift procedure, they may have many questions for our staff. What are the options to get the desired results? What steps are included in the procedure? What type of anesthesia will be used? How long will it take to fully heal from the surgery?

These are certainly all important questions, but perhaps the one question that may make patients the most nervous is: How much will a facelift procedure cost? The staff at Jefferson Plastic Surgery is trained to help patients understand not only what is covered in the cost of their facelift procedure, but the various payment methods that may be available.

Our Philosophy about Surgical Fees

No two patients are exactly alike. One patient may want a full facelift, while another may only be looking to lift the lower part of the face. These differences are reflected in the fees we charge for facelift procedures, and why we stress that it is important to have an initial consultation before any realistic discussion of cost can take place.

Fees for facelift procedures can vary, depending on a number of factors. These may include the amount of work to be done, the type of anesthesia used, whether or not the patient must stay in the hospital overnight, patient goals, and whether or not the facelift is combined with another procedure, such as liposuction to remove stubborn pockets of fat in the chin and neck area. We believe it is unrealistic to quote a set price for a facelift procedure, as any number of these factors must be taken into consideration when determining the final cost.

Facelifts and Insurance

Medical insurance will not cover facelift procedures that are done strictly for aesthetic purposes. However, medical insurance may cover the cost of certain facial procedures if performed in order to correct for an injury or illness. A good example of such a procedure would be reconstructive surgery following severe burns or lacerations to the face. We strongly suggest patients talk with their insurance company before making a consultation appointment to see if it will cover the costs for the procedure. We take a number of insurance plans, including the following:

  • Medicare
  • Personal Choice
  • Keystone Health Plan East
  • Amerihealth
  • Cigna
  • Aetna
  • United Healthcare
  • Coventry
  • Great West
  • Devon
  • Tricare
  • Corescource
  • PHCS
  • Multiplan
  • Worker’s compensation
  • Auto liability claims

Financing

Patents can also pay for their surgery with financing plans such as CareCredit, which offers no-interest and low-interest loans ranging anywhere from six to 24 months. The monthly fees work just like a credit card, and no interest is charged if the payments are made on time. Qualification is quick and easy, and can often be completed during the initial consultation visit.

Deciding to undergo a facelift is no small matter. Those of us at Jefferson Plastic Surgery want to make it as easy as possible to help patients make such an important decision that can change lives for the better. This is why we offer a variety of payment options and will work with patients to help them select what works best for them.
