Financing Options for Facelifts
As patients age, they often change their routines to achieve a more youthful appearance. They may start hitting the gym to get in better shape, coloring their hair to hide the grey, begin using expensive skin creams, or look into the possibility of undergoing a facelift. At Jefferson Plastic Surgery, we welcome patients who wish to rejuvenate their facial appearance with facelift surgery. Many of these patients wish to reduce the appearance of jowls, nasolabial folds, marionette lines, and other wrinkles. By performing facelift surgery, we can minimize the appearance of these signs of aging, and help patients look about 10 years younger.
As part of an initial consultation visit, patients and their doctors will discuss the goals the patient wishes to achieve from a facelift procedure, the steps involved, and expected outcomes. The estimated cost for the procedure will also be discussed. Jefferson Plastic Surgery Center offers a variety of ways to finance the facelift procedure, which will also be discussed during your visit.
Will Medical Insurance Pay for a Facelift?
In most cases, a facelift is considered an elective procedure, rather than one done out of medical necessity to correct for an injury or illness. Facial reconstruction following severe burns or an automobile accident would be considered medically necessary. Jefferson Plastic Surgery does accept a variety of insurance plans, including:
- Medicare
- Personal Choice
- Keystone Health Plan East
- Amerihealth
- Cigna
- Aetna
- United Healthcare
- Coventry
- Great West
- Devon
- Tricare
- CoreSource
- PHCS
Patients are strongly encouraged to first check with their medical insurance to determine if it will cover a facelift procedure. However, if the facelift surgery is being perform on a cosmetic, elective basis, medical insurance will not cover any costs of the procedure.
Other Financing Options
If medical insurance will not cover any of the costs of the facelift procedure, Jefferson Plastic Surgery offers a range of other payment options, including major credit cards or cash.
In addition to financing the cost of surgery with a credit card, patients can apply for CareCredit financing. Perhaps one of the most popular and versatile options in health care financing company, CareCredit finances veterinary, dentistry, hearing, fertility, and cosmetic surgery services, among others. The financing plans work similar to a credit card, in which patients can make monthly payments toward the cost of their cosmetic surgery. Loans may be for anywhere from six to 24 months, depending upon patients needs. In general, the no or low financing plans are paid off within one year. Applying is fast and easy, and many patients can gain approval when they come in for their first consultation visit. Our staff will be happy to help patients gather the necessary paperwork to fill out the application.
Prospective facelift patients already may have concerns about the procedure, which is only to be expected. Worrying about how to pay for the procedure should not be among these. To learn more about your facelift financing options, contact Jefferson Plastic Surgery today.
